Partnering with Mat 2.0, a Parma-based company specializing in the design of photobioreactors and ready to use systems for algae cultivation, we developed an innovative project integrating our AE100 LED lamps. This case study highlights how our technology has revolutionized energy efficiency and cultivation quality in high-tech environments.

The project

Mat 2.0 chose us as a partner to develop an optimal lighting solution for its photobioreactors, replacing traditional metal halide lamps with more efficient LED technology. The primary goal was to improve light distribution and biomass yield while reducing energy consumption and environmental impact.

Installation description

We supplied Mat 2.0 with our AE100 lamps, designed to emit light within the photosynthetically active spectrum, crucial for algae growth. Thanks to their ability to operate in challenging environmental conditions, the AE100 lamps are ideal for complex applications such as photobioreactors. These lamps ensure uniform light distribution, minimizing stress on the crops.

Installed product

AE100

Our AE100 lamp is designed for high-humidity environments and challenging conditions such as those in photobioreactors. Thanks to its energy efficiency and resistance to temperature fluctuations, it ensures stable performance and uniform biomass growth. This solution enabled Mat 2.0 to achieve optimal results in their facility.

Benefits achieved

By implementing our AE100 lamps, Mat 2.0 achieved outstanding results:

  • Uniform light distribution: homogeneous algae growth in every photobioreactor.
  • 50% reduction in energy consumption: lower energy usage compared to traditional metal halide lamps.
  • Lower heat generation: improved control of internal temperature and growth conditions.
  • Durability: reliable performance even in high-humidity environments with variable temperatures.
