Modagri is a leading company in the production of outdoor ornamental plants, with over 40 years of experience. Located in northern Greece, near Thessaloniki, it benefits from the region’s mild climate and the passion of its founder, Aristeides Triantafyllou. Thanks to these factors, Modagri exports decorative plants to Greece, Cyprus, and the Western Balkans, maintaining high standards of quality and sustainability.
In this case study, we will show how, with the help of our AE32 LED fixtures, Modagri improved the rooting and growth of its young plants, optimizing the production process and increasing yield.

With over 30 species of young plants cultivated on benches, Modagri needed to optimize its rooting system and enhance vegetative vigor. The goal was to improve plant growth before transferring them to open fields, ensuring higher transplant success rates and faster, more uniform growth.
As Katerina Triantafyllou, operations manager, explains:

We provided Modagri with AE32 LED lamps, equipped with individual Osram LEDs and an optimized spectrum. The lamps offer a precise proportion of two red frequencies, essential for developing strong roots, and blue light, critical for preparing young plants for transplanting to open fields.
The LED lights are used early in the morning and in the evening, complementing natural light and ensuring a consistent 15 hours of daylight. This controlled system created ideal conditions for plant development, significantly reducing transplant stress.
