The project

In aeroponic cultivation, managing environmental factors—especially light—is essential to promote efficient and uniform plants growth. Agricooltur® needed custom LED lighting with an adjustable LED light spectrum to support each plant stage, from germination to flowering. Our solution: a tailored lighting system using dimmable LED lamps with precise control over intensity and spectrum. The benefits of LED lighting became immediately evident: long lifespan, low heat output, and outstanding LED efficiency. This allowed Agricooltur® to minimize energy consumption and operational costs while ensuring a controlled environment that optimizes growth within vertical farming systems and aeroponic greenhouses.

Installation description

The LED growing lights developed for Agricooltur® feature a complete, customizable LED light spectrum designed to support plant needs throughout every growth stage. This artificial light system mimics sunlight while maximizing LED efficiency and optimizing the effect of light on photosynthesis. The lighting includes:

  • Blue light: stimulates vegetative growth, enhances photosynthesis, and supports leaf development—essential in early stages.
  • Red light: promotes flowering and fruiting, aiding plants during the reproductive phase.

The system also regulates the photoperiod, adjusting light exposure based on the crop’s development. During the vegetative phase, plants receive 6 to 18 hours of light per day, ensuring uniform plants growth. This precise control supports better indoor plants care and high-yield results in vertical farming systems.
