The project
To meet year-round market demand without compromising quality, Mr. Gariglio created a fully enclosed vertical farming system using hydroponic technology. The goal was to maintain consistent basil growth across every cycle, with deep green leaves as a quality benchmark. In this controlled environment, every variable—light, humidity, temperature, and nutrients—is carefully regulated. The greatest challenge was replacing natural light with high-performance artificial lighting to stimulate photosynthesis effectively. With our LED grow lamps, Bio Extra Solum achieved uniform growth, excellent color, and healthy development across all crops. This approach demonstrates the critical role of LED lighting for growing plants in modern hydroponic farming and proves how lighting precision directly affects crop success.
Installation description
The basil indoor vertical farm consists of six racks, each with four levels, designed for high-density plants shelves. To ensure full-spectrum lighting across all levels, we installed our ultra-slim AE32 lamps, perfect for greenhouse shelving and low-voltage environments. These fixtures emit a finely tuned LED lighting spectrum, stimulating healthy plants growth from seedling to harvest. Benefits included:
